National Day of Service

Martin Luthor King Jr. Day – Jan 20, 2025

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision for a more just world, UJA-Federation proudly chose All About Kindness to plan and implement volunteer projects as part of a National Day of Service on MLK Day – Jan 20, 2025.

Goal:

To create and distribute care packages to various vulnerable populations in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s Day of Service.

Target Recipients:

Vulnerable elderly individuals
Families going through crises
Patients at Bikur Holim rooms in Cohens Children’s Hospital and Kats Women’s Hospital

Activities:

Students from local schools are encouraged to participate:

Bring a snack and an item of arts and crafts

Assist in assembling goodie bags

Volunteers will:

Assemble care packages using supplies from students and other donations
Distribute packages to target recipients
